Patricia lives with her care taker an old lady who picked her from the road side after she was dumped by her an known mother. Her care taker is small scale piggery farmer with 2 piglets and she also digs on people’s farms for a daily bread. Despite her efforts, it is difficult to meet the family’s needs.

Patricia is a physically disabled child growing up in a poor community in southern Uganda. Family homes are made of mud bricks and metallic roofing. Their diet consists mainly of potatoes and. Bread from corn meal is also a staple during times when food is scarce. The climate is tropical, with a dry season and a rainy season. The community is located on a congested street and the terrain is very flat.

Patricia is not in school at this time because the child is physically disabled and the care taker cannot afford to pay for her in special needs children schools. She helps at home only when crows out of her room where she lies on a dirty torn papyrus mat. She also enjoys playing alone while making loud noises.

Your sponsorship commitment will help provide Patricia and his community with improved health through vitamins, disease prevention, and mosquito nets to combat malaria. Your support will provide literacy programs for mothers and their children, the most vulnerable in the community. Grandmothers who are economically productive will get training in various skills for value addition and get empowered to start up home ventures like craft making. Wells will be rehabilitated to produce safe, clean water, and our caring staff will reflect Christ’s love to these children through their actions and lives.
