Improving food security Through Women Empowerment Programs
More than 95% of all the children under Mercy’s Nest Foundation are taken care of by single women or grand mothers.
The Foundation doe not focus at the cause first but the urgent need to help and it does this through empowering groups of women in small scale vegetable productions as well as promoting saving and micro lending programs with the women.
We currently financially empower about 12 women in Katoogo and Wakiso villages taking care of disabled children.
